Issues of Racial Identity

People who were adopted by families where the difference in perceived identity is obvious face many issues that can complicate a child's level of comfort with who they are, who they should identify with, and why the adoption needed to occur in the first place. Learning to handle in a relaxed way the often repeated questions of adults and peers about these differences is so important.
