At various times of life most adoptees give some consideration to searching out their birth parents and birth relatives. Depending on the amount and nature of information provided to them by their adoptive parents these thoughts may lead to embarking upon a quest for names, locations and more history, and in some cases can lead to the possibility of contact. Although California has not yet enacted legislation to allow open adoption records there are many search assistants or facilitators around the State that offer help.
